BJJ is a Sport for All

Practicing Jiu-Jitsu improves your life in so many ways. No matter from which age group you are, what’s your gender BJJ will make a difference in your lifestyle. This training has proven to be so valuable in one's self-development. Of course, the physical changes are obvious. But the ability to be able to defend yourself in a dangerous situation with all other mental and health benefits are way beyond the obvious. There are so many reasons why everyone should train BJJ.  As it is a sport for all.

1)   It is a Martial Art

At some point in our lives, we all get impressed by athletes practicing self-defense and protect themselves and others from unwanted situations. That can be the reason for everyone to practice defending themselves in a controlled environment Self-defense is essential for everyone to learn irrespective of their age, gender or class is an ultimate form of martial art that brings a lot of mental and physical benefits while making you able to defend yourself. BJJ training also helps in developing the reflexes everyone requires if they are ever in a dangerous situation. It also develops the confidence of standing up for yourself. That does wonder not just in the class but every aspect of life.

As you practice in your BJJ Gi, you get more proficient which is a big reason for boosting your confidence. Learning any sort of Martial Art not only makes you happier with yourself but also enables you to deal with any situation comfortably which is what everyone should have. No matter if you are a kid, an adult, or an older person you are never too old or unfit to start BJJ. Each time you step into the class you are going to be challenged mentally, physically, & socially. You will also learn to believe in yourself and your decision once you realize that you are equipped with the ability to turn your weaknesses into strengths. This unbreakable self-belief leads to an optimistic life approach.

3)   Physical Workout

Studies state that regardless of your age and health, a physical workout is a thing that you should do. However, intensity and type of workout can vary depending upon your condition. BJJ is the perfect approach for jazzing up your fitness routine. It’s a full-body workout. That perfectly incorporates both aerobic & anaerobic conditioning. That will improve your cardio endurance. It will also tone your body as you will be engaging different muscle groups. BJJ will get you into your perfect shape, inside & out!

 

4)   Stress relief

 

Everyone is tensed up to some degree in their lives. Learning to deal with things that don't go your way can be the biggest challenge of one’s life. Almost all of us look forward to an outlet for letting off our stress. So, we can clear your head, and focus on ourselves. Some go out for a run, play some sort of sport, or head to the gym for lifting weights. BJJ is a great form of stress relief.

 

As you step into the class you are focused on learning the technique, opponent, & your next move leaving the day behind.

5) Discipline

BJJ training is an ultimate physical form of ‘practice makes a man perfect’.  In a Jiu-Jitsu class, an individual applies a technique or series of related moves so many times. That teaches a person about progression happening in small improvements regarding technique & stamina.

Mastering a specific skill or move comes through endless practice and repetition. Not only do these skills help in a BJJ competition but this discipline will lead them in other aspects of life. It also teaches you commitment, determination and motivates you to practice even when you do not want to.  Being humbled & disciplined is what BJJ is truly all about.

 

6) Gender Equality

BJJ is a combat sport that nearly anyone can practice. Including men & women of all ages.

It’s one sport of its kind that a whole family can enjoy and take part in. In BJJ class boys & girls can train together. By giving them an equal opportunity to practice & learn together.
